Mill Duty Electromagnets

Mill Duty Xtra Deepfield Copper Electromagnet

The Mill Duty Xtra Deepfield Copper Electromagnet (MXDC) magnet is manufactured to handle heavy duty abrasive material, scrap, or mill products that quickly damage or destroy other magnets. To meet these challenges, the MXDC features a heavier structural design that can tolerate more abuse than traditional scrap handling magnets. The copper windings in the MXDC provide the extra power needed for mill duty applications — so much so that this magnet is also ideal for moving billets and slabs — and has a deeper penetrating flux field that is recommended for lighter gauge materials.

Mill Duty Xtra Deepfield Aluminum Electromagnet

The Mill Duty Xtra Deepfield Aluminum Electromagnet (MXDA) is built to tackle highly abrasive materials, scrap, or mill products that shred other magnets. To withstand the added abuse, the MXDA is manufactured with a heavier structural design, while the aluminum coils make the magnet’s weight significantly lighter than its copper-wound cousin, the MXDC. The MXDA has a deeper penetrating flux field that is recommended for lighter gauge materials; this magnet is also versatile enough to be used to move billets and slabs. MXDC magnets can be used singly or in a series of two or more on a spreader beam to accomplish a wide range of tasks. Each magnet is built to fit your applications.

Mill Duty Deepfield Copper Electromagnet

The Mill Duty Deepfield Copper Electromagnet (MDC) is designed for handling especially abrasive materials, scrap, and mill products. It has a heavier, more robust structure than standard magnets, which makes it more resistant to wear and tear. The copper conductor used in the magnet’s windings provide the MDC with ample power for intensive mill operations and long duty cycles. The MDC can be adapted to multiple applications, such as moving scrap as well as billets or slabs, and can be used singly or rigged to work in tandem with multiple magnets on a spreader beam.

Mill Duty Deepfield Aluminum Electromagnet

The Mill Duty Deepfield Aluminum Electromagnet (MDA) is constructed with a heavy-duty design to withstand exceptionally harsh and abrasive operating environments. Its weight is balanced by lightweight aluminum windings that allow for flexible use and versatility not found in other types of electromagnets. The MDA is ideal for handling scrap, slabs, and billets. It can be used singly or rigged together with additional magnets on a spreader beam.
