MLTUS - Lightweight Xtra Deepfield CopperThe LXDC magnet is manufactured for use in scrap yards where Overhead Cranes are used in processing scrap. These magnets cost more than the Aluminum wound magnets because of the conductors. The overhead cranes have a lifting capability compatible for the use of copper wound magnets. They are an option to the use of aluminum wound L Series magnets. They are versatile, cost more than an equivalent aluminum wound L Series magnet and are preferred in 16 or more hours / day operations that have a crane capacity to handle the magnet weight / material weight ratio per lift. The LXDC has a deeper penetrating flux field which allows a greater lifting capacity per lift.

MLTUS - Lightweight Deepfield AluminiumThe LXDA magnet is manufactured for normal operation for scrap handling. The LXDA offers a great versatility at a reasonable cost. The LXDA type scrap magnet is used on the bigger mobile cranes and excavators which allow greater lifting capacities per lift. The magnet size / weight, and lifting capacities are determined by the machine, the boom style weight limitations, and the product being worked. Most of the manufacturers of the equipment provide technical information of weight limitations each type of machine has with the boom fully extended. That information will determine the size of magnet diameter for the machine based on the weight of the magnet plus the average weight per lift. These magnets are wound with aluminum conductor because aluminum conductor is lighter in weight than copper conductor, which allows the diameter of the magnet to be maximized for the ratio of magnet weight plus material weight per lift.
